Unsure About Being a Guest?
It’s okay to feel nervous or unsure. I hope the answers to the frequently asked questions below help you feel more comfortable, informed, and at ease. Reach out if you have further questions or concerns.
-
Can I participate from home?
Yes. All conversations take place online, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable. The conversation will end when you want it to. Fill out the form above to ask any questions or to get on the show schedule.
-
Do I need to be confident or comfortable speaking to be a guest?
Not at all. Many guests feel nervous or anxious at first, and that’s completely okay. There’s no expectation to speak perfectly or confidently. The conversation is casual and guided with care. And, you can be anonymous on the show, if you prefer. Your story deserves to be told in a way that is comfortable to you.
-
What if I don’t know what to say?
That’s okay too. You don’t need to prepare or have the “right words.” We take things slowly, and you’re always free to pause, reflect, or change direction during the conversation. And, I can even guide the conversation to make it really easy. We'll discuss beforehand what you want to share and don't want to share, so it is always easy and comfortable.
-
Do I have to share details I’m not comfortable with?
No. You are always in control of what you share. You’ll never be asked to talk about anything you don’t want to, and boundaries are respected at every step. We'll talk over the phone before the show to ensure your comfort level.
-
Is this a clinical or medical interview?
No. This is not a clinical interview or assessment. The show is about lived experience, human stories, and connection... and music! It's not diagnoses, treatment plans, or expertise.
-
What if I change my mind after reaching out?
That’s completely okay. Reaching out doesn’t obligate you to anything. You’re welcome to take your time, ask questions, or decide not to move forward. Fill out the form on this page to get a casual conversation started! I'll happily answer any questions, too.
-
Will the conversation be recorded right away?
No. Nothing is recorded without clear consent. You’ll always know when recording starts, and there’s space to talk things through beforehand.
-
Can I remain anonymous or protect my privacy?
Yes. Privacy matters and so does your comfort. We can discuss options that help you feel safe and comfortable before anything is shared publicly.
-
Do I need special equipment or experience?
No special equipment or experience is required. Just a phone or computer. If you decide to participate, we’ll make the process as simple and stress-free as possible. I'll explain everything up front during our conversation. Fill out the form above to book a casual and quick phone call.
-
Is listening without participating okay?
Absolutely. Many people choose to simply listen, and that’s just as valid. There’s no pressure to participate as a guest unless and until it feels right for you. To listen to the show, click here.
