Lived Experience First
Conversations led with empathy and insight from people who know this journey firsthand.
Reducing stigma. Building understanding. Honoring the full human story behind every diagnosis.

Hosted by Steve Newman—who lives with Bipolar I disorder—the program centers lived experience while welcoming clinicians, researchers, and advocates into meaningful dialogue. The goal is simple: reduce stigma, expand understanding, and remind listeners that no diagnosis defines a person’s humanity.
If you're curious, yet nervous about being a radio show guest, that’s completely okay. There’s no obligation and no rush.
This is a safe, remote conversation from home. Video isn’t required, and we’ll always talk through privacy and comfort first.

I'm Steve Newman. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder. It changed my life, but it did not define its limits. Since then, I’ve made it my life’s work to minimize stigma, amplify real voices, and help make the path a little easier for others walking a similar road.
