A Different Kind of Radio Show

This show was created to bring honesty, dignity, and depth to conversations about psychotic spectrum disorders.

Hosted by Steve Newman—who lives with Bipolar I disorder—the program centers lived experience while welcoming clinicians, researchers, and advocates into meaningful dialogue. The goal is simple: reduce stigma, expand understanding, and remind listeners that no diagnosis defines a person’s humanity.

Listen to stories told through voice and music.

Your Host

I'm Steve Newman. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder. It changed my life, but it did not define its limits. Since then, I’ve made it my life’s work to minimize stigma, amplify real voices, and help make the path a little easier for others walking a similar road.
